8/10 is a reasonable effort from what ended up being a bit of a free for all. On the night itself I would have swapped out Australia for Poland, still leaving me with 8. Triana Park, Norma John…we’ll miss you. Anyway, enough maudling over losing two of my loves. Let’s look to tonight when all my preferred songs will definitely qualify! This is one I think is nigh on impossible to get all ten right. It’s such an eclectic mix and quite heavily favoured in the top half meaning some early favourites are likely to bite the dust.

I’ve said before just how much I love Malta but I know I’m the only one other than Claudia. I’d love both the batshit songs to get through but Croatia is just going to edge out San Marino in that battle. Sorry Val & Jim, hope I’m wrong! I still love ‘Apollo’ but based on the Swiss staging alone I don’t think it has a realistic chance of getting to Saturday. Macedonia is a very good pop song but it’s likely to be a victim of running order. If your going off the theory the first half can’t be top heavy I reckon Macedonia & Serbia will split what’s left of the Balkan vote after Croatia and Bulgaria and neither will make it.
Oh…and if NAVI don’t qualify I am going to give the continent a vert stern ticking off. I may write a strongly worded letter.
